Solo: The Official Guide Easter Eggs and References

Finished the new Guide after a couple hours of almost nonstop reading and note taking. Probably my favorite out of all the new guides, I really enjoyed it. As always, tons of stuff to unpack because Pablo knows his Star Wars.

The Tartakovsky Clone Wars Show and Canon

The Genndy Tartakovsky Clone Wars show ran from 2003 to 2004 and bridged the gap between Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith, showing different battles and events throughout the Clone Wars. George later referred to it as a “pilot series” for TCW and he told the crew of that series that they didn’t have to adhere to it. It was made Legends with the rest of the EU in 2014.

The Last Jedi Novelization Continuity Breakdown

I wasn’t actually planning on doing one of these for this but it turned out so continuity heavy that I thought I had to. I’m mostly not going to mention anything from the Visual Dictionary or other TLJ adaptations because if I did this would be turn out way too long.

Thoughts On The End Of Rebels

This week I was lucky enough to go to Secrets of the Empire twice and I thought I’d write up a little summary/review of the plot and experience for everyone that hasn’t gotten to go. Full spoilers ahead, so don’t read on if you think you might go.

• Resistance Captain Idrosen Gawat is said to have come from the Mykapo system, which first appeared in Rebels Season 3.

Battlefront II Continuity Breakdown

Continuity Nods and References:

• After the destruction of the second Death Star above Endor, Admiral Versio says that Vice Admiral Sloane has called a retreat. Not only is this a nod to the character of Rae Sloane from A New Dawn and Aftermath, it is a direct nod to the short story The Levers of Power from the The Rise of the Empire collection, which shows Sloane calling the retreat.

Legends of Luke Skywalker Easter Eggs and References

• Lots and lots of OT nods, from Luke quoting Yoda to him getting to adventure inside an exogorth just like his friends in Empire Strikes Back.

From a Certain Point of View Easter Eggs and References

• There are several direct nods to The Clone Wars, including Satine, the Ohnaka Gang, and a comical list of names in the Whills story.
